WHAT THIS PACKAGE DOES

  Windows XP/2000 operating systems do not support Intel Turbo Memory. So if you
  are using Windows XP/2000, there will be a Yellow Exclamation (!) shown in
  Device Manager. This package is to eliminate the Yellow Exclamation (!) in
  Device Manager.

  Refer to marketing materials to find out what computer models support the
  Intel Turbo Memory.

  If this package has been installed, updating (overwrite-installing) this
  package will fix problems, add new functions, or expand functions as noted
  below.

  This program is language independent and can be used with any language system.

NOTES

- If you use the Product Recovery function shipped with your ThinkPad to restore
  the Windows preload environment, you do not need this package. This package is
  required when you install Windows XP or Windows 2000 without the Product
  Recovery function.

- This package works on only the Lenovo computers listed in the support models
  above.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Note:
- If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to update
  the software. To determine if you should update the software, refer to the
  Version Information section.


Manual Install

  1. Start Windows XP/2000 and logon with administrative privileges.
  2. [Windows XP]
       Click Start, then click Control Panel. Click Performance and Maintenance,
       then click System.
     [Windows 2000]
       Click Start, click Settings, then click Control Panel. Double-click
       System.
  3. Click the Hardware tab.
  4. Click Device Manager.
  5. Right-click PCI Memory Controller, then click Properties.
  6. Click the Driver tab.
  7. Click Update Driver.
  8. Select No, not this time, then click Next.
  9. Select Install from a list or specific location.
 10. Click Next.
 11. Select Search for the best driver in these locations and Include this
     location in the search.
 12. Click Browse.
 13. Locate the driver folder, then click OK.
 14. Click Next.  The driver installation will begin.
 15. Click Finish.
 16. Click Close.
