Double-click Wireless USB Manager tray icon, then Wireless USB Manager will be opened. 2. Click "Help" then "About...". 3. Check the version displayed in the pop-up. Click OK button to close the pop-up window. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTES Nothing. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Notes: - If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to update the software. To determine if you should update the software, refer to the Version Information section. - This software does not support overwrite-installation. Before installing a new version, uninstall the older one, then "shutdown (power off)" the computer, and power on the computer, again. Manual Install 1. Start Windows and logon with administrative privileges. 2. Extract this package to the hard drive. The default location is C:\DRIVERS\TPWUSB 3. For Windows Vista, click Start, select All Programs, select Accessories, then click Run... For Windows XP, click Start, then click Run... 4. Specify setup.exe with the full path name of the location where you extracted the package and click OK. EXAMPLE: C:\DRIVERS\TPWUSB\setup.exe 5. Follow the instructions on the screen. 6. If a Digital Signature warning message appears, click "Continue Anyway" button (Windows XP) or "Install this driver software anyway" (Windows Vista). 7. Restart the computer. Unattended Install This is for system administrators' use only. 1. Start Windows and logon with administrative privileges. 2. Click Start, select All Programs, select Accessories, then click Command Prompt. 3. At the command line, execute setup.exe with following options. Setup.exe /s /z" /s /v\" /qn ALLUSERS=1 SKIPWARNING=1\"" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- UNINSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Note: - When you uninstall the ThinkPad Wireless USB Software, if you want to delete the device information you associated with your ThinkPad, remove the device information before uninstallation with the procedure below. 1. Double click Task Tray icon to open Wireless USB Manager. 2. Select an icon of the device you are going to remove. 3. Click Devices, then click Delete. 4. Click OK on the Device Deletion Confirmation dialog. 5. Repeat above instructions for all the devices you want to remove. Manual Uninstall [Windows Vista] 1. Click "Start", then click "Control Panel". 2. Click "Programs / Uninstall a program". 3. Select "Lenovo Wireless USB". 4. Click "Uninstall" button. 5. Click "Yes" button on the confirmation pop-up. 6. User Account Control pop-up may open. When it opens, click 'Allow' to continue uninstallation. [Windows XP] 1. Click "Start", then click "Control Panel". 2. Click "Add or Remove Programs". 3. Select "Lenovo Wireless USB". 4. Click "Remove" button. 5.
