What This Package Does ---------------------- This package provides the display driver for Windows XP users. The display driver enables or updates the display function of the following ThinkPad computers: - ThinkPad A20p - ThinkPad A21p - ThinkPad A22p - ThinkPad A22m (Model 2628-Sxx only) To determine if you should update the display driver, refer to the Summary of Changes section. To update the display driver, refer to the Installation Instructions section. Installation Instructions ------------------------- 1. Start Windows XP and logon with administrative privileges. 2. Extract the video drivers to the hard disk drive. 3. Click Start, then click Run. 4. In the Run dialog window, type C:\DRIVERS\WXP\DISPLAY\SETUP.EXE, and click OK to start the installation process. If you extracted the files to a different location, then specify that location instead. 5. When the Welcome window appears, click the Next button. 6. At the Software Licence Agreement screen, if you agree, click Yes. 7. At the Setup Complete screen, select Yes, I want to restart my computer now. 8. Click Finish, then reboot the system. Unattended installation ----------------------- This is for system administrators' use only to install some drivers on many systems at the same time. 1. Start Windows XP and logon with administrative privileges. 2. Extract the video drivers to the hard disk drive. 3. Click Start, then click Run. 4. In the Run dialog window, type C:\DRIVERS\WXP\DISPLAY\SETUP.EXE /K (without reboot) or C:\DRIVERS\WXP\DISPLAY\SETUP.EXE /K /B (with reboot) to install the video driver. If you extracted the files to a different location, specify that location instead. Determining which version is installed -------------------------------------- 1. Right-click on desktop then select Properties. Display Properties opens. 2. Select the Settings tab. 3. Click the Advanced button. 4. Select Options tab. 5.
