This is due to the fact that sometimes the hard drive on that system shows up as disk 4 instead of disk 0. This issue is fixed in the Web Update in a Patch module called "ImageUltra 3.1 - Patch1(Memory Card Reader/PLAction) module. This module contains all the fixes to change disk 0 and get the correct disk number. The user needs to include this Patch module in the basemap to fix this issue. - Added code to clean the IBMWORK/SWWORK directory from a system after deployment When you deploy a system, the "IBMWORK" or "SWWORK" directory was left behind on the C drive. This issue is fixed in the Web Update so that after a deployment those directories will no longer exist. - Added a module to Remove Lenovo Information from any system after deployment When you deploy to an OEM system, the machine information and logo was showing up as "LENOVO". This issue is fixed in the Web Update in a Patch module called "ImageUltra 3.1 - Patch2 (Remove Lenovo Info). The user needs to include this module in the basemap to get rid of all the Lenovo information from the system. - Added Support to fix the filters getting converted to Lower case During the audit process of an image, a program (PLAction) was changing all the filter execution to lower case causing the filters to fail. This issue is fixed in the Web Update in a Patch module called "ImageUltra 3.1 - Patch1 (Memory Card Reader/PLAction)". PLAction has been updated in this module so that the filter will no longer get converted to lower case. - Added Support to extract Service Partition modules from Distribution Media Deploy using Distribution Media, not all Service partition modules were getting installed to the Service Partition. This issue is fixed in the Web Update, so that now all the Service Partition modules will get installed to the Service Partition. This includes Windows PE Language Overlay modules. LIMITATIONS/CONSIDERATIONS ========================== - System with a Memory card reader with an actual memory card in it will fail If you have a system with a memory card reader and a memory card plugged into the Card Reader you may see either of the following issues: - Problem 1: IUB fails to deploy and reboots over and over. During the deploy, after creating the Windows Primary Partition, IUB needs to assign drive letter C to it. In order to this, it tries to remove the drive letter C by through a diskpart script that says "Select Volume C, Remove" Diskpart fails to remove volume C. - Workaround: Take out the media card from the media card reader during a deploy. - Problem 2: Pqideploy.exe fails to restore any custom images. This is due to the fact when a customer has a media card plugged into the media card reader, pqideploy.exe actually sees that as Drive 1. Therefore, all powerquest scripts that use "Select drive 1" to restore the image will either fail or restore to the wrong target (memory media). These scripts that contain this code are created by the owner of these custom images, thus IUB cannot do anything to fix this issue. - Workaround 1: The creator of the script can actually capture the output of pqideploy.exe /info and figure out what drive letter is assigned to the hard drive and then change their script from "Select Drive 1" to select the drive letter that pqideploy shows up with. - Workaround 2: Take out the media card from the media card reader during a deploy or Install. - Repository opens as read-only - Problem: The repository opens up in Read-Only mode if the share is not mounted before trying to connect to it. - Workaround: Mount the Repository Drive before trying to connect to the repository using the IUB Console. - Deploying an M55 preload to a system hangs with insufficient space in the Service Partition - Problem: This issue is caused due to the modules that are imported from an M55 preload. Some of the SPP (Service Partition Populator) modules do not contain the entry "SPP=YES". The lack of this entry in an SPP module causes IUB to not account for the extra space needed for this module in the Service Partition. - Workaround: Add a Buffer Space of ~1GB to your maps to account for those SPP modules. - Deployment locks up a VPro system while running TPMDetect.exe - Problem: The deploy hangs while running TPMDetect.exe - Workaround 1: Update the \preboot\swwork directory with an empty file called TPM_TSS.MBI. This will allow TPMDetect.exe to never run on a system. - Workaround 2: Update the original TPM_TSS.MBI file from the \preboot\swwork directory and REM out the call to TPMDetect.exe.
