Requirements

To take sysprepbackups on the computers installed with the Rescue and Recovery 4.3 or 4.5 program on the Windows 7 operating system, you must download and install the patch.

Downloading the package

1.	Click the file link for the executable on the Web page. 
2.	When prompted, select a drive and directory to save the executable. 

What is new

1. Upgrading the patch to support the Rescue and Recovery 4.52 program 

Installing the package

To install the patch and perform a sysprepbackup operation on a USB hard disk drive in the Windows 7 operating system, do the following:
1. Open the command prompt window with administrative privileges. 
2. Type the following commands to start the sysprepbackup process:
     cd "\Program Files\Lenovo\Rescue and Recovery" rrcmd sysprepbackup location=U name="sysprep backup"  
     The "...run sysprep now..." message is displayed.
3. Go to the C:\Windows\System32\Sysprep directory and launch the sysprep.exe file. The System Preparation Tool window is displayed. 
4. Select Quit from the Shutdown Options drop-down list box in the System Preparation Tool window. 
Notes: 
      It is recommended that you select Generalize. 
      It is recommended that you create recovery media before the sysprep process. For the detailed parameters about performing the recovery operations using the RRCMD command, refer to the Rescue and Recovery 4.3 Deployment Guide.
5. Click OK to save the setting. Then the sysprep process begins. 
6. When the sysprep process finishes, run the executable that you downloaded with administrative privileges, and follow the on-screen instructions to install the patch. 
7. Restart your computer, and it will automatically boot to the Predesktop Area (PDA) to continue with the sysprepbackup process.
8. When the sysprebackup finishes, your computer boots to the Windows 7 operating system automatically. 
9. After out-of-box experience (OOBE), run the executable that you downloaded with administrative privileges, and follow the on-screen instructions to install the patch again.
