ThinkVantage Client Security Solution is designed to help you protect PC-based computing assets, such as the computer itself, confidential data on the computer, and the company network. Click the file links to download the files from the Web page. 2. When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save the downloaded files. 3. Make note of the executable file name and location. Installing the package ====================== 1. Click Start, then click Start Search. 2. Type tvttvtcss82v64mr_0006ww.exe in the search field, then click Search Everywhere. This will locate the file you just downloaded. 3. Double-click the tvtcss82v64mr_0006ww.exe icon. You may see a dialog stating "A program needs your permission to continue". If you see this dialog, click Continue. 4. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation. Considerations ============== Consideration 1 --------------- The Client Security Solution 8.2 Secure Logon feature might not prompt the user to create a new passphrase on computers running Windows Vista. When Windows Vista is configured to use the Client Security Solution 8.2 Secure Logon feature and is configured to use a passphrase, the passphrase recovery feature, when invoked at Windows Vista logon, does not prompt the user to create a new passphrase. If you encounter this problem, do the following to create a new passphrase: 1. Use the passphrase recovery feature to log into Windows Vista by answering the security questions. 2. Start a Client Security Solution application (such as Password Manager) that requires authentication. 3. When you can go though the passphrase recovery process this time, you will be prompted to create a new passphrase.
